A Code regulating the construction and alteration of swimming pools, wading pools and appurtenances thereto, including general layout and design, recirculation systems, filtration systems, disinfection, wastewater disposal, dressing rooms and bathhouses, showers, toilets and lavatories, emergency equipment, bathing water quality, supervision and maintenance, and declaring violations of the Code a nuisance and prescribing penalties therefor is hereby established pursuant to Chapter 188, P.L. 1950 (N.J.S.A. 26:69.1 to 69.6). A copy of the Code is annexed hereto and made a part hereof without the inclusion of the text thereof herein.

The Code established and adopted by this chapter is described and commonly known as the “Swimming Pool Code of New Jersey — 1970.”

Three copies of the Swimming Pool Code of New Jersey — 1970 have been placed on file in the office of the Health Officer of this local Board of Health and will remain on file there for use and examination by the public.
BH:7-4AMENDMENTS, ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS.

The Code herein established and adopted is hereby supplemented by adding the following section:
A fee for licensure of swimming pools, as required herein, in the amount of $100 shall be paid by the applicant upon the issuance of such license.
BH:7-5VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES.

Any person who violates or neglects to comply with any provision of this chapter or Code established herein or notice issued pursuant thereto shall, upon conviction thereof, be liable for the penalty established in Section BH:1-3 of this Code.
